Merryn works as consultant with a range of arts, nonprofit and government organisations of all shapes and sizes around Australia, in business and marketing planning, strategy development, audience research and ticketing evaluation. She has designed and presented professional development programs for the Australia Council for the Arts, CircuitWest, APACA, Country Arts SA and RAV and worked as Marketing Mentor with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts organisations. She has worked with nonprofit governance specialist BoardConnect, and provides ongoing management support to the Chair and Council of PATA (the Performing Arts Touring Alliance).

Merryn’s experience includes managing local government arts venues and community cultural development programs, and consulting in marketing, research and development for a wide range of organisations nationally including visual arts, crafts and design, festivals, regional performing arts centres, art galleries, major performing arts companies, dance and commercial arts organisations. She was National Marketing Manager for the Australia Business Arts Foundation 2004-2008, and held the senior marketing role with Melbourne Theatre Company (2001-2004) and Sydney Symphony (1987-1993).

Merryn has a strong interest in good governance, and has held several board positions. She is currently a board member of Red Stitch Actors Theatre.
