Eve Stafford


Eve brings extensive experience in all aspects of grass-roots community cultural development and capacity-building especially across rural and remote Queensland, as well as high-level policy, planning and advocacy. She was a founding partner in a successful screenprinting business in the tourism industry, and has worked as a theatre producer, festival and events director, performing arts tour organiser, photo- journalist and media publicist for over three decades.

A published writer and poet, she has led writing workshops, published several magazines and books and developed websites.

Eve has particular experience of organisational governance, having been founder and / or on the boards of many community-based organisations. (e.g. the Queensland Writers Centre).

Best known as founding chair and then Executive Officer of Arts Nexus as a service organisation for all the arts across all of Far North Queensland between 1995-2008, her work has seen her appointed to Arts Queensland, the Australia Council for the Arts, and Playing Australia national touring grant assessment and policy panels – and other community, industry and policy advisory, review and assessment panels and boards at regional, state and federal levels.egies and communications including photojournalism, media releases, flyers, posters, social media, website design, writing and editing and design/layout from concept through to publication of books and many magazines.
