Event Session - Rethinking our cultural venues

Day 1 - Wednesday 2nd

Wednesday 2 October 2:30pm - 03:30pm
The Main Event

There have been many media reports in recent years about Australia’s “dying music scene”, the closure of commercial galleries and the battles for attention from the likes of Netflix. What are some of regional Queensland’s key arts and cultural facilities and venues doing differently to keep audiences engaged in their programs?

Logged in Arts Front members can contribute to the documentation of this event by adding images or video using the buttons below. They can also ask a question or make a comment using the questions box below.

Questions and Comments

  • As major venues, can you help with access to the arts in smaller communities located in your wider area that may have small halls or other spaces that need activation?
  • How are some of the regional venues genuinely partnering with First Nations communities?
  • How do you track these trends in your community? What tools or methods do you use?
