 ading in Cairns. \nTyson Yunkaporta is an academic\, an arts critic\, and
  a researcher who belongs to the Apalech Clan in far north Queensland. He 
 carves traditional tools and weapons and also works as a senior lecturer i
 n Indigenous Knowledges at Deakin University in Melbourne.\nTyson Yunkapor
 ta is the author of Sand Talk: How Indigenous Thinking Can Save the World.
  He looks at global systems from an Indigenous perspective. He asks how co
 ntemporary life diverges from the pattern of creation. How does this affec
 t us? How can we do things differently?\nPauline Lampton is the Artistic 
 Director of Miriki Performing Arts is a company of young Aboriginal and To
 rres Strait Islander dancers based in Cairns and the surrounding regions.

 ers like Pauline who share their passion to express their Indigenous herit
 age and history through unique choreography and the presentation of their
