The Bowerbird Collective | Simone Slattery & Anthony Albrecht

The Bowerbird Collective was formed by Simone Slattery (violin) and Anthony Albrecht (cello) in 2017 to explore links between art and science and to tell stories using a multimedia performance platform. Two of Australia's most accomplished and adventurous classical musicians, they are committed to presenting transdisciplinary knowledge in accessible, informative, emotive and innovative ways, to weave new aesthetic, philosophical and emotional connections and engage with highly diverse audiences. Their work 'Where Song Began' was described as "stunning" by Limelight Magazine and has been performed more than 60 times around regional Australian venues. They are now collaborating with BirdLife Australia and BirdLife International on a new work that musically traces the journey of migratory shorebirds along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway.
