Marian Spires is a poet, writer and teacher who lives and works on Wurundjeri country (Melbourne, Australia) strives to move people emotionally through her words. Her creative drive is motivated by speculating about the past linked through a fantastic or a surreal element. She enjoys exploring liminal spaces, those moments of change where the possible and the impossible may occur.

This is a national reading project designed to support teachers and members of the public worldwide in engaging with award-winning Indigenous Australian writing and exploring the relationship between climate and racial justice in Indigenous-authored texts.
