Nick is an experienced educator with a background in both senior and primary education. He began work at the college in 2015 to lead the Senior Phase and establish a program that is underpinned by Montessori principles as well as meeting the needs of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority and ensuring students develop the necessary skills and meet the prerequisites for tertiary or further education. In the last two years he has led the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme.
Nick’s background is quite diverse, with experience as a leader in both primary and senior education. He was the PYP International Baccalaureate Coordinator and Head of Junior Science at Wesley College in Melbourne, Head of House at Westbourne Grammar, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of an innovative middle school program at the school, founded on similar principles to Montessori adolescent programs. Nick then moved to Queensland to lead the Peregian Beach College secondary program. Nick also has a background in elite sport and competed for Australia in the 2004 Athens Olympics.
