I completed my degree at Monash University’s Theatre, Performance, and Music Program. I have taught and undertaken research in the humanities, theatre, and cultural studies in the Philippines and Australia. Currently, I am involved in various projects here in Australia. These include development of inter-/transcultural community theatre within Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and Refugee Communities in Australia, Cultural and Artistic Work with Filipino Migrant Communities, and Academic and Applied Research in the Filipino Diaspora in Australia. I am also a member of a newly-organised collective, Advance League of Peoples’ Artists Inc. that will use art and progressive culture in community development. I also write Filipino and English prose, poetry, and play.
The Fair Play project, funded by Creative Victoria, is an equity and inclusion capacity building program for organisations that receive multi-year funding through Creative Victoria.
The Fair Play symposium will platform the knowledges, leading practices and lived experiences of First Nations, Disability, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse creative practitioners.
