I am a fine art PhD candidate at Curtin University. My thesis topic addresses the ways in which the environment – particularly the geologic – is conceived in contemporary Western culture. My art practice includes sculpture, assemblage, audio–video, photography and painting. I draw on continental philosophy and interdisciplinary discourse, as a method to investigate specific histories in art and the natural sciences which continue to influence the perception of the environment.
