Ruth works in the programming team for Monash University Performing Arts Centres, which includes the new Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts.
She is also founding Director of Arts and Gardens; a company of creative producers for heritage and contemporary gardens, where she continues to develop projects with garden-makers and managers that connect artists and audiences with horticulture and green spaces.
Ruth was a Board Member and Chair of Outdoor Arts UK for four years until 2018, when she returned to live in Melbourne.
Ruth was Senior Festival Programmer for the Southbank Centre, London, where she was lead programmer for the Imagine Children’s Festival and contributing programmer for Women of the World, Festival of Love, Alchemy and Africa Utopia.
For 8 years Ruth worked for City of London Festival. As Head of Outdoor Events and Participation she led a programme across the Square Mile’s iconic buildings, squares, gardens and the City’s open spaces including Hampstead Heath and Epping Forest.
