I am a 28 year old Townsville born, Brisbane based visual artist and musician producing artistic works through my creative project 'Burgkaba'. My visual and musical style is eclectic and ever-changing. Profound and profane, virtuous and vulgar, my work explores mental health, society, spirituality, the simple joys of shape and colour, and the natural beauty of Earth and its inhabitants.
I work closely with experiential agency Vast Yonder, helping to create arts and music festivals such as Brisbane Street Art Festival and Jungle Love Music & Arts Festival. Through working with Vast Yonder I have also been working with the not-for-profit arts organisation Digi Youth Arts who help to share the stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
Being a part of the Arts Front U30 Symposium would be a fantastic opportunity to connect and create with other artists and arts workers who would like to come together and create a vision for the future of arts in Australia. My belief is that the arts are an extremely powerful tool that allows all people to share their stories and bring about change on both an individual and collective level.
