I am an anthropologist and writer. I am the author of Mountains and Trees, Rivers and Springs: Animistic Beliefs and Practices in Ancient Mesopotamian Religion (PhD, 2019), and of academic and disseminating writings. I engage with the discussion about animism, eco-cosmologies, eco-spiritualities, and anthropology of plants. In particular, I delve into human-plant relations in ancient and contemporary cultures, especially curious about Indigenous and traditional knowledges, botanical stories and myths, and gender. Also, I am a passionate gatherer and learner of medicinal plants and berries, thanks to the precious teachings of friends and traditional herbalists. I wish to join the choir of people who walk on the green path and promote the Plant Turn in the humanities, social and natural sciences, as I believe that with the plants, their stories and teachings, we can build up an ecological and post-anthropocentric education between art, science, animism and storytelling.
