I am a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle, with my thesis a creative project and exegesis focusing on nonbinary gender in middle grade fantasy fiction. I'm also the author of 14 trade published books for children and currently live on the Gold Coast. Some of my books have received awards for environmental literature so this conference interests me from that perspective too.
