Name: Bondi Pavilion
My Role: Artistic Director
I love working with passionate, visionary artists who are committed to sharing their work with diverse audiences, and especially regional audiences. I love brokering new relationships and helping to make connections for artists and create opportunities. And I love bringing new performing arts experiences to audiences.
Iwi affiliation
I am born in Australia, and from Anglo-Australian heritage.
Rohe
I grew up in Sydney, lived in Melbourne in Victoria and Fremantle in Western Australia for a number of years, and eventually returned to Sydney about ten years ago.
How I got where I am today
I trained as a theatre director at the Victorian College of the Arts, started an independent theatre company in Melbourne which I led for 7 years, then ran a new-writing theatre in Fremantle for 5 years. While in WA, I developed a keen interest in touring over that period, which led me to taking on my previous role at Critical Stages Touring. After many years of travel, I am thrilled to be now looking after one venue, the iconic Bondi Pavilion.
