Dani Netherclift is a PhD candidate in creative writing at Deakin University. Her creative artefact examines the lyric essay as an elegiac mode. She was the winner of the AAWP/The Slow Canoe Creative Nonfiction Prize for Emerging Writers for ‘An incomplete archive of blue’, and has had lyric essays published in Meanjin, The Slow Canoe, Island, and Westerly. She is the poetry editor of SWAMP Journal.
