Dr Brodie Evans is a Visiting Fellow and Senior Research Assistant, contributing to research in the Queensland University of Technology's (QUT) Centre for Justice. Their research examines discourse, law and policy, and political activism, in relation to issues of social and criminal justice. Brodie’s work focuses on how practices of discourse are influencing policy change relating to issues of marginalisation, and the discursive strategies of resistance. Brodie is also particularly interested in how Foucault’s tools can be utilised to expand understandings of human-animal dynamics and governance.
