Bio: A PhD candidate researching arts policy at the University of Auckland, Elise is the former Executive Director of Basement Theatre and has a background in community development and marketing. She has produced theatre, festivals and a range of artistic happenings. As a strategist and arts advocate, Elise sits on the board of regional arts trust Te Taumata-Toi-a-Iwi, previously served on the Creative Coalition board, and has participated in other arts policy steering groups at local and national levels.
