Emma Biddle is a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle, Australia. She has previously worked in high schools as an English teacher and is an award-winning author of young adult (YA) fiction under the pen name Gabrielle Reid. Emma’s research interests include experimental literature, the impact of digital technologies upon literature for young people, the role of causation in generating narrativity, and representations of mental illness and drug addiction in narrative texts.
