A graduate of the Universities of Waikato and Auckland, my works are regularly performed in NZ and overseas. I write for a wide range of instrumental forces as well as specialising in setting texts to music. My works have been recorded by Radio NZ, SOUNZ Resound, and Atoll Records, and are played regularly on Radio NZ Concert. My recent music projects include Flowing Water, the music-drama (libretto by Witi Ihimaera) premièred at the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival 2018, and four CDs of music recorded and released by Atoll Records: Play-Pen – chamber music for flute, bassoon, voice, and piano (2019); Voices of Women (2020); and Voices of Men (for release March 2021); Flowing Water (for release 2021). I'm driven to write music that players want to play and singers want to sing, music they want to share with their audiences.
