I’m a dance artist, choreographer and animateur. I studied at the Victorian College of the Arts (BA Dance, + Honours.) Currently Dance Animateur at Tracks Dance Company (part-time) working remotely with the company from regional Victoria. I developed my physical practice in Melbourne, and w Tracks in Darwin, working with artists and participants from diverse cultural and training backgrounds (from 2009-14 + ’19-20.) I work in various ways on Tracks' outdoor performances, make dance-films, work in remote Indigenous community Lajamanu on Milpirri and co-facilitate Choreographic Development Programs, facilitating workshops for emerging NT choreographers. I’m drawn to dance projects that are celebratory, physical and collaborative, with a social and community impact. I have also worked for over a decade as an independent freelance dance artist locally and internationally, and as performer, maker and occasional photographer. Currently developing a new, experimental live work called ‘Mess of a Mūdra’ in collaboration w Kelly Beneforti, Venaska Cheliah and CJ Fraser Bell in Darwin (supported by Arts NT.) I live a transitory life between Melbourne and Darwin. Currently living on Surfcoast and have been working up the courage for the last week to jump into the [freezing] ocean. :)
