Jessie Yi Xiao Chen is a first generation Chinese-Australian artist and general practitioner working in Western Australia. She graduated medicine from the University of Western Australia in 2014 and currently works part-time as a general practitioner. Her art career started as a hobby and evolved into illustration work for clients such as Longines, LinkedIn, Western Australian Symphony Orchestra, as well as several magazine publications. In 2018 she spent some time in Paris working with the illustration agency Atelier22, and had her first solo exhibition.

Currently, her art practice comprises contemporary painting, photography and videography with the themes of cultural identity, family history, and connection to the past.
