Using multiple art forms to make meaningful community connections

In her role as Coordinator Library Operations for Mackay Regional Council Libraries, Katie Roberts will share the story of Mackay Early Years Language and Literacy Network’s Paint the Town REaD projects and how Mackay Early Years Language and Literacy Network (MEYLLN) utilised multiple art forms to harness a diverse range of community partnerships. The session will inspire and provide practical advice regarding the who, what, why and how for making meaningful connections with key community partners. The presentation strongly links with the Arts Ablaze key themes of transforming regional communities and art practice through access and people.
