Lee is a trained contemporary dancer with a background in Education. She relates strongly to the community and the identity of place. She has lived in The Bega Valley since 1999 where she founded a youth dance company called fLiNG Physical Theatre. Her work there celebrated regional youth and community and initiated a thriving culture for contemporary dance which remains today in the isolated South Eastern region of N.S.W.
Awarded a Regional Artist Fellowship in 2016, Lee stepped away from fLiNG to cultivate her practise and study yoga. Her recent works engage with site-specific performance creation, the cultivation of remembering and collecting, the environment and fostering awareness. In a series of events called Incomplete Ever Unfolding, she presents performances in site-specific settings for intimate audience experience.
