Nerida has a career spanning 25 years in arts management. She has been the CEO of Heaps Decent since 2012 - a Sydney based organisation empowering children and young people in NSW to express themselves through music and multi media. Prior to her work with Heaps Decent Nerida was the General Manager at Shopfront Arts Co-op, also working in arts programming for our youngest community members. Nerida has brokered and managed a large number of cross- sectoral projects and partnerships in the areas of justice, education, settlement and social services. She regularly attends workshops, assisting in the delivery of multi-media activities. She is particularly interested in increasing arts access and opportunity for at-risk youth, and the capacity of engagement as a catalyst for wellbeing through self discovery, the opportunity to communicate and human connection.
