EVERYBODY COOL LIVES HERE.
Rohe
Nō Kānata / Turtle Island ōku tīpuna.
I tae mai ōku whanau ki Aotearoa i te tau 1979.
I tipu ake au ki Taupō-nui-a-Tia. E noho ana au ki Te Whanganui-a-tara.
I'm a second-generation NZer, who grew up in Te Moana Nui a Kiwa with Canadian parents. I spent my adolescent years in Taupō but formed more of my identity in Wellington.
How I got where I am today
Having grown up in Aotearoa post the Education Act 1989, the world I knew began as more inclusive, where everybody was allowed to go to their local school, rather than being segregated into institutions.
As a first gen digital native I gravitated towards wanting to study digital media. But after slowly meeting more scenographers realised I liked world and community building in the physical where people share breath and connect in a slightly different way.
Whānau
My chosen family is made up of people who like to question, rock the boat by challenging and adapting current structures, and present and share excellence.
What grounds me?
Going deep into the bush, getting lost within a city, touching water, eating yummy foods while making funnies or debating the ridiculousness.
