With an early background in dance I moved into photography and film and video post-production throughout the 80's. In the 90s I ventured into the realms of World Music and Dance, Indigenous and community arts, music, dance and radio, national and international touring and event and music production as a broadcaster, performer and producer.

I worked with Uncle Kingsley A’Hang at the Uniting Church with the Australians for Reconciliation Project. I was also very fortunate to collaborate with the late Ugandan national treasure Geoffrey Oryema and published a work under the Real World label. I also went back to my dance roots and worked closely with the Artistic Director of the South Australian Children’s Ballet Company, collaborated with Yorta Yorta Dancer Sherry Yhi Yangarra establishing the Dreamweaver Dance Company and toured three Indigenous Dance groups internationally.

The noughties brought me back to my passion for photography and writing and I embraced the cycling fever which hit South Australia with the Tour Down Under. Cycling taught me a lot about my capacity to extend myself beyond previously held beliefs and opened a whole new world of blending sport and art (SpArts I called it) and travel. The creative highlight for me in this decade was a collaboration I did with Carl Pink on a tribute song to the late cyclist Amy Gillett, ‘Wings to Ride’. I was extremely privileged to sing this song in duet with Chiara Passerini (then Mrs Cadel Evans) at the 2010 World Cycling Championships in Melbourne.

A sea change in 2010 brought me back to the ocean and the south coast of SA. Here, after almost 30 years, I hit the waves again and fell back in love with my teenage passion of surfing, marine life, and all things salty and of the sea. In collaboration with a young local photographer we opened the Surreal SurfArt Gallery. I initiated the Saltwater SurfArt Fest and curated the Saltwater Hero Filmfest. Saltwater won the Best Community Event for 2015. I also created and coordinated the very successful HomeBrew Song-writing and CD Project bringing emerging artists and mentors together. All of these were part of the Alexandrina Council Just Add Water Festival program.

IN 2019 I managed the Dupang Festival and the RIngbalin River Tour with Uncle Moogy Sumner and the Tal-Kin-Jeri Dance Group.

I also coordinate the Victor Harbor Artisan Market, sit on the Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee to Victor Harbor Council.

I recently completed a three year mentorship as a trainee digital projection ‘Leading Light’ artist with Digital Projection company Illuminart. My roles with Illuminart shifted between researcher, project and event coordinator, animator and video producer.

In 2020 I have been an integral part of the new Victor Harbor Coral Street Art Space and have curated 3 exhibitions there also the 2019/20 ‘SURF’ exhibition at Arts Onkaparinga. I also continue to co-produce live performance events for the City of Victor and develop Digital Projection projects on the Southern Fleurieu.
