Phil Barlett

Phil is an award winning singer songwriter. Known for his amazing musicianship, huge vocals and heart-felt, straight-from-the soul, performance style, Phil’s versatility has earned him a reputation across Australia as an all-round entertainer.

Phil has dedicated much of this life to working and mentoring people of all ages who have been incarcerated with mental health issues, family violence, depression, grief and loss.

Phil is a qualified counsellor and has motivated many to get their lives back on track with his inspiring talks, using the power of performance and songwriting to touch people’s hearts and better track thinking. Phil also includes talks from his Noongar-Wadjuk heritage and culture.

Phil started working on the CAN’s Lullabies program in 2018 and has bought incredible musicianship and mentoring skills. A lullaby written by Phil with Lullabies participant John Mitchell was nominated for a WAM Song of the Year Award. Listen to the song 'Nganyang Koodamart - My Sweetheart' on all streaming services.
