Scotia has a background spanning twenty five years in movement based theatre, devised performance, and coordination of community projects and theatrical productions in Australia and Internationally. She is committed to artistic collaborations which privilege the contributors to develop their art, their audience and the cultural relevance of their work creating art that changes the way people see their own and others lives.

Scotia is the Director of Helicon cpr, a community cultural development company that delivers projects, development of programs and strategic planning, professional development, research and education. Helicon's collaborative approach supports community development through multi-arts projects, tailoring programs around the context and skills of communities to optimize life-affirming and sustainable outcomes. Scotia has worked with a broad cross section of community, specializing in working with people experiencing disability and disadvantage.

Scotia is currently the Executive Officer of the Creative Recovery Network.
