Susan Haris is a doctoral candidate in literature and philosophy at IIT Delhi and a
Fulbright Visiting researcher at University of California, Santa Cruz. Her research locates
human-animal relations in India. She is also a Culture and Animals Foundation grantee,
2021-22, for her project “Storied Worlds’: Activism and Community in Urban India” which
traces the lives of animal rights activists in India.
