Tania Leimbach is an interdisciplinary academic, with a particular focus on environmental and climate communication. She specialises in conceiving and brokering innovative strategies towards promoting sustainability, and is passionate about socially engaged practices and novel forms of creative education. She completed her doctoral studies at the Institute for Sustainable Futures (UTS). Her thesis Sustainability and the material imagination in Australian cultural organisations examines the role of civic space in processes of social and ecological change. She is now both a freelancer and research associate at the Climate Justice Research Centre (UTS), and is in the process of publishing her thesis for Palgrave MacMillan, while lecturing part time.
