The New Zealand Dance Company (NZDC) is a leading, full-time artsorganisation that createsand presents innovativeand inspiring

contemporary dance for audiences in Aotearoa and around the world.

Founded in 2011 by NZ ArtsLaureate and HyndsCreative Entreprenuer of the Year (2015) ShonaMcCullagh (MNZOM), NZDC rapidly secured its place as a trailblazing arts organisation. We have performed live to more than 80,000 people in Aotearoa and around the globe, and developed elevenprogrammes of work with27 differentcreations from choreographers spanning Aotearoa, Australia, the Netherlands, and South Korea.

Now led by NZ Arts Laureate Moss Te Ururangi Patterson and an exceptional team of arts administrators, the vision of NZDC is to create new connections to dance through dynamic and innovative collaborations, championing the power of dance to transform lives in the community, producingartistically vibrant,entertaining and thought provoking original danceperformances. We providea place for artistic & collaborative excellence, creative mentoring, and growing job creationwhile contributing to ournation’s unique culturaltapestry, and sharing that NZ story on an international stage.
