My name is Mr Maclennan and I am excited to be back in the performing arts space teaching dance and drama again. 2021 is my fourth year teaching at Berkley, and my 15th year specialising in teaching Year 7/8 students. This year I also have the responsibilities of team leader of the Performing Arts, as well as leading the school production, Aladdin Jr.

I have a huge passion for the Performing Arts. I have enjoyed directing large casts of over 150+ young people for the past 13 years and now own and run my own youth theatre company. Last year I got married in May (after lockdown was lifted). My wife and I have a 15 year old son who shares my love of musical theatre. I attended South Seas Film and Television School when I left high school, where I majored in on screen acting, presenting/interviewing and directing/producing and have appeared on TV in a number of different local TV shows. I also have a huge passion for gymnastics and was once in pre-training for the Commonwealth Games, when I was a youngster.
