“Playing Caliban in the Tempest has allowed me to review my own forefathers oppessive treatment throughout the era of segregation. With that in mind Their is also complexidies to take into considerations. One is to play a character of the first nation forefather. To do this I had to get permission from my elders to portray my Grandfather knowing to well the cultural sensitivities involved.

To bring the character to life and with the emotion to the stage is quite challenging and daunting. However Avril Duck the director has allowed me to explore the connection and flexibility and is very understanding to encourage the cultural ties”.
