Questions and Comments

  • I have been working through theatre in inclusion and diversity. This has always meant bringing the "other" into the dominant paradigm. I do not believe in much of the world view from this point. How do I/ We get invited, learn, be " initiated" into what it means to belong to country". How do I get included into an Indigenous community to listen deeply and belong?

  • Dear Reena, Ruby and Vikram,
I would dearly love to continue this conversation with you over time. I lived in Kolkata in 1972 and 73 and this experience has never left me and led to much personal enrichment. Especially the possibilities and delight of sharing experience between First Nations People of India and Australia. Ruby and Sean you expressed this so well. Plans to return this year have been Covidified but that just puts new impetus into creative imaginations. Let flowers bloom.
Thank you Jenuarrie and Arts Nexus
