I am an active member or the mainland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community of South East Queensland. As a recognised and acknowledged cultural leader in my community I am and have been working toward building the cultural capability foundations of Queensland government agencies by developing tools and cultural resources to guide all Queensland government employees on their cultural journey. I have contributed to and have been part of Queensland's discussion/debate to the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to the Australian Constitution, and will continue to be a representative voice for my people, the Kaurarage peoples of Cape York Peninsular and the Meriam peoples of the Comet Clan, Mer Island.

With the commitment by the new federal government to renew and reinstate the Creative Australia National cultural policy by the end of 2022, there is a perfect opportunity to complete the Arts Front 2030 work, and promote the ideas and visions for the future that people have contributed over the last five years.
