I am a high school Ancient History, English, and Humanities teacher of 9 years at a local Sunshine Coast school. I previously studied and taught in the United States on a sporting scholarship, where I completed my degrees in Literature and Anthropology. I completed a teaching degree at UniSC in 2016 and have been teaching high school ever since. I run a student-initiated book club at called the Untitled Book Club that is a safe space for all students to come and enjoy the company of fellow bibliophiles. I enjoy reading, baking, gaming, sports-ing, and spending time with my fiancé (an HPE/math sports guy!) and our two puppy dogs.
This is a national reading project designed to support teachers and members of the public worldwide in engaging with award-winning Indigenous Australian writing and exploring the relationship between climate and racial justice in Indigenous-authored texts.
