I'm a writer and author of four books, including two books about accounting, capitalism and climate change: Double Entry (2011), and its sequel Six Capitals (2020, 2014). As part of my PhD in creative writing I wrote about representations of land in the fiction of Alexis Wright and Kim Scott. My essay 'Valuing Country’ (Griffith Review 63, 2019) brings together three ways of conceiving the earth, as 'country', 'natural capital' and 'rights of nature'. You can find links to my work at www.janegleesonwhite.com.

I've written about economics, sustainability and literature for the Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Bloomberg, Wired, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, Meanjin and Overland, and am a regular commentator on economics and sustainability, including for the Sundance Film Festival, United Nations and European Union.
