I am Chair in Arts Education co-jointly funded by QUT’s Creative Industries Faculty (QUT) and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). My doctoral thesis focused on the meaning, place and importance of collaboration to teaching-artists in their praxis.
As a leader in the cultural sector, I have had the opportunity to lead start-up companies and work with established businesses. Along with Professors Haseman and Makeham, I co-led the development of a model of arts education tailored especially for corporate and government sectors.
I have extensive board and governance responsibilities most notable being the inaugural Chair Brisbane Festival (2003- 2007) and the first woman in Queensland Theatre Company’s (1995-2004) history to be appointed Chair. I am also currently Board Director of Tourism and Events Queensland.
