I’m a cultural policy wonk, passionate about creativity, politics and contemporary Australian culture. Currently I run United Notions Creative Solutions working for better policies for culture and I teach the Cultural Policy unit for RMIT Masters program.
In previous incarnations I was EO at AIC(V) (2000-2008) researching the needs of the Vic arts sector and lobbying government. In another life I was a producer (Melbourne Workers Theatre), performer, Artistic Director (La Luna Youth Arts Qld), green activist (NQCC) and sometime scribbler.
Community arts practice has always been my love and I’m interested in how we frame debate about an inclusive cultural model with a human rights bent. Also lectured in the Centre for Cultural Partnerships in Cultural Policy and Praxis (2005-2013). Collective action and claiming space is my thang.
