I grew up on Noongar Boodja (Perth, Western Australia), and I am a PhD candidate at the end of my first year at the University of Exeter. My proposed project aims to explore decolonising approaches in Australian First Nations writing. Under the supervision of Professor Jane Poyner and Professor Jamie Hampson, my research design involves building relationships and collaborating with First Nations scholars and writers in Australia. I completed a master's in creative writing at Oxford and studied psychology and creative writing at UWA.
This is a national reading project designed to support teachers and members of the public worldwide in engaging with award-winning Indigenous Australian writing and exploring the relationship between climate and racial justice in Indigenous-authored texts.
