
Poppy is a filmmaker, artist and producer who specialises in collaborating with communities. Her work’s been broadcast nationally on ABC, SBS and Nickelodeon, and presented internationally including at London International Festival of Theatre and Japan Media Arts Festival. She’s also a previous recipient of the Fremantle Print Award and Australia Council Kirk Robson Award.
Poppy is currently directing two projects, Two Sands and Galup. Two Sands is a short film based on a true story from South Sudanese Australian writer Kook Manuer. Galup is a site-specific performance about the history of Lake Monger, created with Ian Wilkes under guidance from Elders Ted Wilkes and Doolann Leisha Eatts.
Poppy is also the Creative Producer of a multimedia storytelling project with ten Elders for Community Arts Network which focuses on stories of living and working on Whadjuk Noongar boodja.
