Shelagh Magadza

Shelagh Magadza is the Executive Director of the Chamber of Arts and Culture WA, joining the organisation in October 2018. New Zealand Born and Zimbabwean-raised, Ms Magadza spent 10 Years at the Perth International Arts Festival culminating in her role as artistic director between 2006 and 2011. Since then, she has held the same role at the New Zealand International Arts Festival.

In addition to her artistic credentials, Ms Magadza has also held roles in arts, governance, administration, advisory and logistics. From March to September 2011, she was commissioned by the WA government to run the CHOGM Cultural Festival. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a Masters in International Relations.
