A series of panels discussing cultural linkages between Australian and Indian artists hosted by Arts Nexus (Far North Qld). Topics include; When will I see you again? Artists responding to CoVID and the idea of travelling for cultural exchange in the new world. Politics of Language: The importance of language and maintaining Culture as prime function of Language. Cultural Exchange and its role in Soft Power. What does it mean for First Nation aboriginals to cross the oceans and exchange culture with others
In celebration of NAIDOC Week, the Australian High Commission of India is hosting a calendar of events including and Opening Ceremony with guest speakers: High Commissioner (India), Chairperson CIAF (Australia), introduction to the online exhibition by Artistic Director CIAF (Cairns) will feature the 2020 CIAF Fashion Showcase.
From 6 - 22 November you are invited to attend the online galleries and look around the CIAF website and Facebook to see First Nation Australian culture presented by local creatives.
On Sunday 8 November Emily Wurramara (Brisbane) will be live streamed in a virtual concert with a community spotlight performance by Zenith (Kuranda) and Merindi Schrieber (Cooya Beach).
Finishing with a series of Conversations across the continents: panels discussing cultural linkages between Australian and Indian artists hosted by Arts Nexus (Far North Qld). Please note that guest speakers are subject to change.
