CREATIVE CLIMATE ACTION - INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE ARTIST

Wednesday 25th October

As alarm grows in our communities in response to the rapidly escalating Climate and Biodiversity Emergency, artists are helping to reimagine our systems to be more creative, caring, accountable and hopeful.

We are a vital workforce of adaptive, passionate, and creative people, using extraordinary skill to stir senses, connect hearts and minds, and to ask difficult questions and raise awareness of the deepening crisis. We follow First Nations protocols in Caring for Country.

We are bringing unique perspectives and challenging us all to proactively collaborate in creating a better future.

To remind Australian policy makers of their obligations under the Paris Agreement, we are engaging in a locally based, national day of creative action on 25th October, the International Day of the Artist.

Wherever you are, this is an opportunity to share your work and your passion for a livable planet.

Whatever your medium, whichever First Nations country you are on, please join us in presenting Creative Climate Action. Help remind decision makers of the importance of artists in Sustainable Transition Planning, Emergency Response, Disaster Recovery and in collectively creating a liveable future.
